Buckley, who was awarded the Best Actress award at the Critics Choice Awards the week before, received her Golden Globe with wit and humor, honoring the crew for their support and singling out key grip Thomasz Sternicki for making soup on the set. Buckley added, “It was delicious,” Entertainment Weekly reported.

In accepting the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture (Drama), Zhao repeated what Paul Mescal had told her earlier that day. “Making Hamnet made him realize the most important part of being an artist is learning to be vulnerable enough to allow ourselves to be seen for who we are, not who we ought to be,” Zhao said in an article by Decider.
