Adam Brody as Jerry

Adam Brody has crafted a distinguished career in film and television. Brody memorably starred as Seth Cohen on the popular television series, The O.C., the pilot episode of which was directed by Doug Liman.

Brody was recently seen in Fox Searchlight’s thriller, Ready or Not, which centers on a young bride as she joins her new husband’s rich, eccentric family in a time-honored tradition that turns into a lethal game with everyone fighting for their survival. Earlier this year, he starred as the adult/superhero version of Freddy in DC’s box office hit, Shazam! He is currently in production on Evan Morgan’s The Kid Detective, where he will play a once celebrated kid detective who is now a 29-year-old washed up investigator, reduced to solving trivial mysteries between hangovers and episodes of self-pity. He recently wrapped the highly anticipated miniseries Mrs. America alongside Cate Blanchett.

Earlier this year, Brody starred in Spectrum’s street-racing drama Curfew alongside Sean Bean and Billy Zane, where he plays mysterious megalomaniac millionaire, Max Larssen. Adam also guest starred in ABC’s hit comedy Single Parents, opposite Leighton Meester. Previous television credits include Crackle’s original drama series, StartUp, alongside Martin Freeman; DirecTV’s Billy and Billie; New Girl; Amazon’s television movie The Cosmopolitans; as well as recurring roles on The League, House of Lies, Burning Love, Once and Again, Gilmore Girls; and standout guest turns on Judging Amy, Family Law and Smallville.

Past film credits include the thriller, Isabelle; the comedy Big Bear; CHiPS, alongside Michael Pena and the film’s writer/director, Dax Shepard; Yoga Hosers; Showing Roots alongside Uzo Aduba and Maggie Grace, a television movie set in 1977 about two women who try to integrate their small town amid rising racial tension. In addition, Brody was seen in Sleeping with Other People from producers Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, which starred Alison Brie and Jason Sudeikis; Growing Up and Other Lies; Life Partners, starring Leighton Meester and Gillian Jacobs; Think Like A Man Too, alongside Kevin Hart, Gabrielle Union, Taraji P. Henson, Regina Hall and Meagan Good; Revenge for Jolly!, opposite Kristen Wiig, Elijah Wood, Oscar Isaac and Ryan Phillippe; Baggage Claim, starring Paula Patton and Taye Diggs; Some Girls, adapted by Neil LaBute from his play of the same name; Lovelace, opposite Amanda Seyfried, Peter Sarsgaard and James Franco; Welcome to the Jungle; the short film, Double or Nothing; Damsels in Distress, with Greta Gerwig and Analeigh Tipton; Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, alongside Steve Carell and Kiera Knightley; The Oranges, directed by Julian Farino from Ian Helfer and Jay Reiss’ screenplay also starring Hugh Laurie, Catherine Keener, Alia Shawkat, Leighton Meester, Oliver Platt and Allison Janney; Jonathan Kasdan’s In the Land of Women, opposite Meg Ryan and Kristen Stewart; Wes Craven’s Scream 4; Kevin Smith’s Cop Out; The Romantics; Karyn Kusama’s Jennifer’s Body, written by Diablo Cody; Death in Love, with Josh Lucas, Lukas Haas, and Jacqueline Bisset; Smiley Face; The Ten; Jason Reitman’s Thank You For Smoking; The Ring; and Doug Liman’s blockbuster Mr. & Mrs. Smith, alongside Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

I just ordered a knitting set from Amazon so I could learn to knit. I went: ‘This is the time.’” Here, Mulligan poses for a special digital cover for the May issue of #Vogue, in which she was interviewed by #MargotRobbie about a new movie they worked on together called #PromisingYoungWoman. social | @variety At the first test screening for #PromisingYoungWoman, writer-director Emerald Fennell wanted to sit in the back so she could gauge the audience’s reaction. When the lights went down, she was stricken with terror. “I thought, ‘No, oh, my gosh, what if everyone hates it?’” she remembers. “This is a nightmare!” And so it was. During the film’s surprising and brutal climax, two audience members entered into a shouting match, with one of them yelling, “If you don’t like it, you don’t have to stay!” The other walked out. “That’s not what you necessarily want from your first test screening,” Fennell says. At the link in bio, Fennell and her leading lady Carey Mulligan sit down to explain how they made the most audacious, feminist, movie of the year. 📸: @zoemcconnell ✍: Kate Aurthur and Matt Donnelly ----------------------------------- Carey Mulligan styling: Nicky Yates makeup: Jo Baker hair: Halley Briske fashion: Galvan, Jimmy Choo jewelry: Sophie Billie Brahe Emerald Fennell styling: Colomba Giacomini makeup: Lucy Wearing hair: Hair by Bjorn Krischker/ORIBE/frankagency fashion: Roland Mouret, Malone Souliers

@promisingyoungwoman

“I think people are looking to see female characters do more than just answer a phone or look sexy in a bikini, so really, whether it’s an amazing assassin or a young woman who is trying to rectify something in her past, I think generally speaking, there is still regrettably a dearth of great stuff for women to do. So yeah, I think that’s what it is.” – Director #EmeraldFennell on writing strong female stories that resonate with audiences. ➡ for more #PromisingYoungWoman #Sundance portraits from @whowhatwear.-📸: @emilysotoThe Who What Wear x Free People Lounge
