Regina Hall’s acting career began in NYC while simultaneously earning her Master's in Journalism from NYU. With numerous film and television credits to her name, Hall has emerged as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after actresses.
This year, Hall had the honor of hosting the 94th Annual Academy Awards alongside Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes.
Hall’s next project is megachurch satire HONK FOR JESUS, SAVE YOUR SOUL, opposite Sterling K. Brown which originally premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. The film is a satirical look at megachurch culture and the often-nebulous perspectives that are cultivated from being both entrenched in it, and finding yourself on the outside looking in. Come August, Hall will star in the Netflix comedy ME TIME opposite Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg which follows two friends reconnecting for a wild weekend and the aftermath that ensues.
Most recently, Hall starred and executive produced the critically acclaimed occult drama MASTER for Amazon Prime which follows two African American women at a predominantly white college in Massachusetts who start experiencing haunting activities ingrained in the history of the school.
Last year, Hall starred in the critically acclaimed Hulu series Nine Perfect Strangers, alongside Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy, as ‘Carmel Schneider,’ a single mother of four who is left by her husband for a younger woman, earning her an NAACP Image Award.
In 2017, Hall starred in GIRLS TRIP with Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, and Tiffany Haddish. The global hit brought in over $140 million worldwide and was one of 2017’s most talked-about films. In 2018, she became the first African American actress to win a NY Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actress for her role in Andrew Bujalski’s SUPPORT THE GIRLS.
Past films include: BREAKING NEWS IN YUBA COUNTY with Allison Janney and Mila Kunis, SHAFT opposite Samuel L. Jackson, BARBERSHOP 3, THINK LIKE A MAN TOO, PAID IN FULL and SCARY MOVIE, and its three sequels. Hall also had supporting roles in LOVE AND BASKETBALL and DISAPPEARING ACTS.
Hall’s recently launched production company, Rh Negative, has signed a first look deal with Showtime and a six-movie slate deal with ViacomCBS’ Entertainment & Youth Group.
