The BAFTAs (the awards for British Academy of Film and Television Arts) just announced their final nominations and TINKER, TAILOR, SOLDIER, SPY has 11 nominations. The classic spy drama is nominated for Best Film, Outstanding British Film, Director (Tomas Alfredson), Best Actor (Gary Oldman), Adapted Screenplay (Bridget O'Connor, Peter Straughan), Best Original Music (Alberto Iglesias), Best Cinematography (Hoyte van Hoytema), Best Editing (Dino Jonsater), Best Production Design (Maria Djurkovic, Tatiana MacDonald), Best Costume Design (Jacqueline Durran), Best Sound (John Casali, Howard Bargroff, Doug Cooper, Stephen Griffiths, Andy Shelley).
In addition, Christopher Plummer is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for BEGINNERS, and JANE EYRE is nominated for Costume Design for Michael O'Connor. And finally last year's Africa First films, MWANSA THE GREAT (Rungano Nyoni, Gabriel Gauchet), is nominated for Best Short Film.
