Jaeden Lieberher as Henry Carpenter

Jaeden Lieberher is reunited with Naomi Watts in The Book of Henry after starring with Ms. Watts, Melissa McCarthy, and one of his acting idols, Bill Murray, in Theodore Melfi’s St. Vincent, which marked his feature film debut. His performance brought him a Critics’ Choice Award nomination as well as awards from the Las Vegas Film Critics Society and the Phoenix Film Critics Society.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he moved across the country to Los Angeles, California when he was 8 years old. Shortly after the move, he decided he wanted to pursue acting. He got his start working on several national commercials including a Hyundai ad aired during the 2013 Super Bowl.

Mr. Lieberher was seen as Johnny Masters on the final two seasons of Showtime’s Masters of Sex. Among his other feature films have been Bob Nelson’s The Confirmation, starring with Clive Owen; Cameron Crowe’s Aloha, alongside Rachel McAdams; and Jeff Nichols’ Midnight Special, in which he starred opposite Michael Shannon and Joel Edgerton. The latter world-premiered at the 2016 Berlin International Film Festival and then opened to critical acclaim.

He will next be seen starring on-screen in the long-awaited new interpretation of Stephen King’s It, directed by Andrés Muschietti.

Mr. Lieberher is now 14 years old. When he is not acting, he enjoys skateboarding, playing basketball, listening to music, reading and creating comic books, and watching everything from ‘80s classics to anime to superhero flicks. One day, he hopes to work behind the scenes and become a writer and director.
