Stacey Smith began her career on Wall Street, where she was involved in film and cable television financings. Ms. Smith has worked with Jim Jarmusch for the past twelve years, beginning with the release of Year of the Horse (with Neil Young and Crazy Horse). She produced his most recent film, Broken Flowers (starring Bill Murray), also for Focus Features.
She also worked with him on Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (starring Forest Whitaker and Isaach De Bankolé) and the short film “INT. TRAILER. NIGHT.” (starring Chloë Sevigny); and was a co-producer on Coffee and Cigarettes (starring, among others, Isaach De Bankolé and Bill Murray).
Currently, Ms. Smith is head of Mr. Jarmusch’s production company.
