Jessica Stevenson cowrote both series of Spaced with Simon Pegg, and starred in the series as Daisy. Her performance in the first series won her Best New Comedy Actress at the British Comedy Awards.

She has starred in numerous other TV shows. Most recently, she appeared in the hugely popular comedy/drama Bob and Rose; and played Cheryl in the BAFTA Award-winning The Royle Family. Her work in those shows, tandemed with the second series of Spaced, earned her Best Comedy Actress honors at the British Comedy Awards.

Jessica’s other film credits include Gillies Mackinnon’s Pure (with Shaun of the Dead costar Kate Ashfield), Francesca Joseph’s Tomorrow La Scala! (for which she received a BAFTA Award nomination), and David Kane’s Born Romantic.

She earned an Olivier Award nomination for her performance in Jez Butterworth’s The Night Heron, at the Royal Court Theatre Downstairs.

Jessica is currently collaborating with Francesca Joseph on a script for a new project, and is about to start filming Debbie Issit’s Confetti.
