Louis Phillips joins Focus as Executive VP, Physical Production

Focus Features welcomes Louis Phillips as the new Executive Vice President, Physical Production. He will be based in Focus' West Coast offices, overseeing physical production and post-production on all in-house film productions and outside acquisitions. Focus president Andrew Karpen, to whom Mr. Phillips will report, made the announcement: "Louis is a talented and well-respected executive with an impressive production and management background. Being both collaborative and creative, he understands the practical craft of filmmaking and will be a great addition to our team." Phillips recently worked with Lionsgate, working as a co-producer on Gary Ross' The Hunger Games and Kirk Jones' What to Expect When You're Expecting. He previously worked as Executive Producer on such films as Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island, David Fincher's Zodiac, Andrew Davis' Holes, and Chris Noonan's Miss Potter.
