LA TIMES Looks at Lily Tomlin
Los Angeles Times' Steven Zeitchick profiles the legendary comic star Lily Tomlin, who shows up in Paul Weitz' comedy ADMISSION playing Tina Fey's mom. In the film, the character is a tied-in-the wool 70s feminist who is as feisty and funny as ever, even thought the times has changed. For Tomlin the part felt very personal: "As a feminist from that era, I really plugged into the role...I had so many friends who were notable at the time, and then the times changed. I had an inkling of what it meant to follow a doctrine to the letter and then have it bite you on the other end."
