Lauren Graham currently stars as Sarah Braverman on the popular NBC television series Parenthood, which is in production on its second season.

Ms. Graham had earlier garnered critical acclaim for her portrayal of Lorelai Gilmore on Gilmore Girls, the television series on which she also served as producer in the last of its seven seasons. Her performance earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination; two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations; two Television Critics Association Award nominations; two Teen Choice Awards; a Best Actress nod from Viewers for Quality Television; and a Planned Parenthood honor as a Champion of Choice, recognizing her work with family issues both on- and off-screen.

In 2002, she starred in the Williamstown Theatre Festival revival of George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart’s Once in a Lifetime, directed by Michael Greif. In 2009, she made her Broadway debut in the revival of Guys and Dolls directed by Des McAnuff, starring as Miss Adelaide.

Ms. Graham’s films include Terry Zwigoff’s Bad Santa, opposite Billy Bob Thornton; Marc Abraham’s Flash of Genius, with Greg Kinnear; Tom Shadyac’s Evan Almighty, alongside Steve Carell; Adam Shankman’s The Pacifier, opposite Vin Diesel; Michael Lehmann’s Because I Said So, with Diane Keaton; Michael Traeger’s The Amateurs, alongside Jeff Bridges; Carl Franklin’s One True Thing, with Meryl Streep and Renée Zellweger; John Hindman’s The Answer Man, opposite Jeff Daniels; Ole Bornedal’s Nightwatch, which marked her feature debut; and Craig Lucas’ Birds of America, with Matthew Perry and Zoë Kravitz of It’s Kind of a Funny Story.

She holds a degree in English from Barnard College, and an MFA from SMU Meadows School of The Arts.
