Beth Mickle designed both of Ryan Fleck & Anna Boden’s previous features, Half Nelson and Sugar.
The first feature film that she designed was Ryan Eslinger’s Madness and Genius, starring Tom Noonan. In addition to features, she has gone on to design television commercials and programs. In 2007, The Hollywood Reporter named her its “Production Designer to Watch.”
Ms. Mickle’s feature credits as production designer include Sophie Barthes’ Cold Souls; Noah Buschel’s Neal Cassady; Tanya Hamilton’s soon-to-be-released Night Catches Us; and Dito Montiel’s upcoming The Son of No One, starring Channing Tatum and Al Pacino; and Richard Laxton’s An Englishman in New York, starring John Hurt as Quentin Crisp, for which she was a BAFTA Award nominee.
