Justin Long got his start as a member of Vassar College’s comedy troupe, Laughingstock.
This led to a role in the all-star comedy Galaxy Quest, directed by Dean Parisot. He then starred alongside Gina Philips in both of Victor Salva’s Jeepers Creepers horror movies. His many subsequent films have included Tamra Davis’ Crossroads, opposite Britney Spears; Rawson Marshall Thurber’s Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story; Rob McKittrick’s Waiting…; Angela Robinson’s Herbie Fully Loaded, with Lindsay Lohan; Peyton Reed’s The Break-Up; Steve Pink’s Accepted, with Jonah Hill and Blake Lively; Mike Judge’s Idiocracy; Len Wiseman’s Live Free or Die Hard, alongside Bruce Willis; Kevin Smith’s Zack and Miri Make a Porno; Ken Kwapis’ He’s Just Not That Into You; Sam Raimi’s Drag Me to Hell; Judd Apatow’s Funny People; Miguel Arteta’s Youth in Revolt; Robert Redford’s The Conspirator; Jamie Linden’s Ten Year; and Nanette Burstein’s Going the Distance, opposite Drew Barrymore.
Mr. Long has also done extensive voiceover work, including on all three Alvin and the Chipmunks movies; guest appearances on the television series King of the Hill; and a lead role in the recent animated television series Unsupervised. In addition to the latter, his television work includes costarring in the popular series Ed and playing a guest arc last season opposite Zooey Deschanel on New Girl.
He recently starred on Broadway opposite Jeff Goldblum in Theresa Rebeck’s comedy Seminar, directed by Sam Gold.
Mr. Long is producing the upcoming feature A Case of You, in which he stars with Evan Rachel Wood, Keir O’Donnell, Busy Philipps, and Peter Dinklage. Kat Coiro is directing the independent film, which Mr. Long wrote with Mr. O’Donnell and Christian Long.
