Dana Stevens on A Serious Man

It has become a recent journalistic trend to declare the death of film criticism, so much so that a friend tweeted yesterday, "Someone please write an article proclaiming the death of "death of film criticism" articles."

But if you're looking for evidence of the health of the form, an excellent example of how it is in fact thriving is Dana Stevens' new series of videos for Slate, Dana's Home Theater, in which she dissects a scene from a recent DVD release.

Below, she looks at a scene from the Coen brothers' A Serious Man:
