Sarah Knowles won an Emmy Award as production designer of Joseph Sargent’s telefilm Warm Springs, one of five that the project was honored with in a total that also included Outstanding Made for Television Movie.
Her other feature credits as production designer include Jason Winer’s Arthur, starring Russell Brand; Peter Hedges’ Dan in Real Life, starring Steve Carell; Ericson Core’s Invincible, starring Mark Wahlberg; Jordan Roberts’ Around the Bend, starring Christopher Walken; and Nick Cassavetes’ hit The Notebook, starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams.
Ms. Knowles previously worked as art director on such films as Andrew Niccol’s Gattaca, which was Academy Award-nominated for Best Art Direction/Set Decoration, and S1m0ne; Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster Catch Me If You Can; Joseph Ruben’s Money Train; and Joel Schumacher’s Flawless, starring Robert De Niro.
In addition to her feature film work, she also designs in the commercials field for a wide range of directors.
