In USA TODAY, Elysa Gardner spoke to Tom Stoppard, the acclaimed playwright and screenwriter, who penned the screenplay for Joe Wright's adaptation of Leo Tolstoy's great novel ANNA KARENINA. It's a fascinating piece that explores the dynamic interactions between two really creative minds. While Stoppard wrote his screenplay before Wright decided to stage much of his film inside a theater, the script stayed the same. For both artists, ANNA KARENINA explores the universal theme of love. As Stoppard notes, "in all its forms -- between brothers, lovers, mother and child, husband and wife."
