Kisha Cameron-Dingle

Kisha Cameron-Dingle runs the production company Completion Films, which has a first-look deal with Focus Features. Mrs. Cameron-Dingle uses her knowledge, passion and relationships in the world of African cinema to bring in and produce films with some of Africa’s most promising young filmmakers. Completion Films is currently developing the documentary SEMBENE! with filmmakers Samba Gadijgo and Jason Silverman, TOK TOKKIE, ghost thriller set in Cape Town, directed by Jenna Bass, a film adaptation of the novel WHO FEARS DEATH, directed by Wanuri Kahiu, and the Nigerian gang film AREA BOYS, directed by Omelihu Nwanguma and written by acclaimed Nigerian playwright Oladipo Agboluaje. Cameron-Dingle, with New York-based producer Krista Parris, is also developing a mini-series about Jonestown.


Kisha Cameron-Dingle is also the Executive Director of the FOCUS FEATURES AFRICA FIRST SHORT FILM PROGRAM, which was conceived to be a unique initiative, with funds earmarked specifically for emerging filmmakers of African nationality and residence. Previously, Cameron Dingle served as Associate Producer on SOMETIMES IN APRIL, the HBO film based on true events surrounding the 1994 genocide in Rwanda; and on Spike Lee’s controversial film, BAMBOOZLED. She has an extensive background in studio development, having been an executive at New Line Cinema and Walden Media. Kisha holds a BFA in Film Production from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

In addition to the Focus slate, the FFI slate includes AGORA, an historical epic from Academy Award winning filmmaker Alejandro Amenábar, starring Academy Award winner Rachel Weisz; Alexander Voitinskiy's Black Lightning, produced by Timur Bekmambetov; Derek Yee's Shinjuku Incident, starring Jackie Chan; Academy Award winning filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar's Broken Embraces, starring Academy Award winner Penélope Cruz; and the untitled new film from writer/director Mike Leigh starring Jim Broadbent, Phil Davis, and Imelda Staunton.
